The building can get confusing if you don't take the right stair case or follow the correct corridor.

The basement plays host to a few empty classrooms as well as different common rooms.

This is the floor you hit as soon as you enter the school. It hosts the dining hall as well as classes.

Take the stairs up to the first floor. Classes and the nurses office is what you will find.

As well as classrooms there are many offices on this floor. Not just the headmaster's but also for academic achievers.

The entire floor is dedicated to dorm rooms for the students.

The courtyard is a quiet place where students can go and study or relax. There are a few stone benches as well as a large stone fountain in the centre.

A stretch of green grass that the students can relax on.

One thing is for sure; the academic lot don't lurk about here.

A large tar based skate park that has a variety of different equipment for the skaters to use.

Hugely wide-reaching in its number of locations, this department store can be found throughout the UK and even in the Middle East and Indonesia. A great selection of merchandise is standard, and you can be assured of consistency no matter which location you frequent. Along with apparel for the entire family, Debenhams offers furniture, housewares and electronic goods. An in-house floral department is available as well.

Flush against Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park is probably London's most familiar and most popular park. It's more than a mile square and includes Serpentine Lake, Marble Arch, the Diana Memorial Fountain and the well-known (and still-used) Speaker's Corner. The British take pride in freedom of expression, and this park is where orators show up to speak their minds, usually to crowds of tourists. Popular recreational activities in Hyde Park include rollerblading, football (soccer), and lawn bowling. A must-see for London visitors.

Universal appeal distinguishes this large venue, which boasts most anything you might require. Apparel and accessories for men and women are stylish and timely, and furniture, garments and necessities for babies and children fit the theme as well. You'll also find electronics, appliances, furniture, domestic goods and lighting, not to mention fitness equipment, games and toys, and a floral shop. In addition, you can even buy food and wine.

This cutting-edge club is famous around the world for its packed houses, energetic ambience and great music. From a distance, the place looks nondescript, but just about everyone who goes clubbing shows up here eventually to experience the best DJs spinning well into the morning. Take note: Ministry has a strict dress policy, and if you plan on getting inside wearing athletic trainers and/or shorts, you'll need to reconsider that strategy.

London's world-famous department store, Harrods has been a city fixture since it opened in 1849. Impeccable service and a wonderful, diverse selection have earned the store a place in the hearts of Londoners. Although prices are somewhat steep, they're attached to quality merchandise, including apparel, toys, home furnishings and groceries. Plus, twice-yearly sales make things more accessible to budget-minded shoppers. Cultivating a bit of spectacle in Harrods are the Egyptian Room and a memorial to Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed, owner Mohammed's son.

Founded in 1971, this gallery was London's first independent venue devoted to photography. Having grown substantially, the gallery has a reputation for displaying and selling some of the best international contemporary photography. It also promotes photography throughout the UK, offering sponsorships, educational programs, exhibitions, book sales and special events. Past exhibits have showcased international photographers' depictions of the US and images from the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. In addition, their bookshop is quite favored among photographers, and a quality cafe offers coffee, tea, sandwiches and cakes.

At times, it's been a residence, antique shop, wine bar, and seafood restaurant. Today, the three-level Townhouse is a place where well-heeled guests socialize in intimate, upscale environs and enjoy inventive post-work cocktails, fine wines, and a menu of international treats from a tapas-style menu. Dinner reservations are encouraged.

Kensington, located beyond Knightsbridge heading west from central London, has as its main streets Kensington High Street and Kensington Church Street to the north and Cromwell Road to the south. Lovely Holland Park extends to the west. The district includes several of London's top museums just a stroll away, including the Victoria and Albert and the Natural History Museum. It's also a walker's paradise, complete with churches, historic buildings, parks, and a young, hip crowd. Kensington Church Street features antique shops, while Sloane Street is known as Designer Row.

Originally a monastery garden and then a fruit and vegetable market, Covent Garden has been reinvented in recent decades as a shopping and tourism attraction. Saved from demolition, the main, glass-covered market building serves as the centerpiece of a revitalized piazza. These days, crowds wander the streets, browsing for clothing, antiques, crafts, books and souvenirs. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes cater to visitors, and talented buskers add lively ambience to the whole district.

Billing itself as "a project room for contemporary art," White Cube is just that: a white cube, seemingly floating. The gallery presents challenging art in a minimalist environment, and the room was designed to accommodate either one dramatic piece or an entire collection. Past exhibits have been dedicated to Tracey Emin and the Chapman brothers, and the gallery works with both established and unknown artists.

What was, in the '60s, London's fashion epicenter has been revitalized as a pedestrian-friendly area offering the odd souvenir shop amongst the many trendy boutiques. Off Oxford Street and parallel to Regent Street, Carnaby gets a lot of foot traffic and its bars and restaurants serve as gathering places for lunchtime and evening socializing. After you've braved the crowds on Oxford, step into this also-busy neighborhood for something more offbeat and contemporary-minded.

This mod nightspot, housed in a refitted railway arch, offers a triumvirate of great after-hours options. In one room, you can enjoy tapas and other Spanish-inspired dishes; in another, cocktails and tasty brews serve as headliners. Finally, the performance area boasts one of the loudest sound systems in town and has been declared a top live-music venue by several local rags. Always packed, Cargo brings in a varied lineup of bands each week, from unsigned jam bands to established local rockers.

London offers many places to catch great panoramas of the skyline and the Thames, but this attraction is one of the best. Run by British Airways, the Eye opened to great acclaim at the start of the new millennium; well-managed ticketing ensures that the wait is never more than a half-hour, despite the Eye's overwhelming popularity. The 30-minute guided "flight" reaches a peak of 450 feet (it's the tallest observation wheel in the world) and offers 360° views. During the day, guides point out all the sights within a 25-mile radius, giving folks a good introduction to the city's layout. At night, when London is lit up, the view is even more amazing.

Set in a bohemian, alternative neighborhood north of London's center, Camden Market promises lots of cool, hip merchandise, often at bargain prices. It's also a favorite of students and tourists, who relish the idea of getting terrific buys on leather goods, shoes, funky clothing, CDs and jewelry. Ethnic items, crafts, and all manner of souvenirs can also be found, along with a bounty of food shops and other local market venues. Great for people-watching too.
