Aidan was at her locker that morning. The door was open and she was just slotting books onto the shelves. Another year with so much change and in all honestly she was beyond scared. It was an important year and the school had granted places to troublesome students. Oh this was going to be bundles of fun.
Someone skated past her on a skateboard and books spilled from her hands. They skidded scross the smooth, clean flooring and Aidan sighed. She would get used to the change. It was just going to take time. She would need patience. If things got too stressful she'd just go and talk to her brother. He always made her feel better. Sometimes he was suffocating but she guessed that was the roll of the elder sibling.
Aidan got on her hands and knees and began to pick up the books that lay in the corridor.

First Day jitters were normal for Jeremy. But this year he was at a different school than he was used to. So typically he was nervous about making a bad impression on people. He roamed the halls trying to figure out where all his classes were. He looked down and sighed gently. It was days like this, he wished he was back at his old school.
He shook all thoughts of back home from his mind and tried to be optimistic. It's going to be one big adventure he thought to himself. Jeremy continued walking, soon coming by the lockers. He noticed someone on the ground picking up stuff. "would you like any help?" he asked as he offered to help her.

Aidan looked up when she heard the male voice with the American twang. She smiled at him. "If you wouldn't mind." she said. Papers had managed to escape from books and she looked completely lost even though the school was technically her home. "I'm Aidan Royal by the way." she said to him knowing he would probably end up making the link between her and her father. Aidan stuffed papers into books and tucked them under her arm still annoyed at whoever had made her drop them.

Jeremy smiled helped pick up her papers that had scattered. He just thought it was kind to help out people. "Nice to meet you Aidan, i'm Jeremy Hartwell." Of course he recognized her last name. Kinda hard not to make the connection in his opinion, only by name.
He handed her the papers that he had picked up from the ground. "Here you go" he said, his strong Staten Island accent coming through. He felt like it made him stick out like a sore thumb there.Sure he liked being different, but not extremely different.
